Welcome to Green Class!
Our class is taught by Ms Guy on Mondays and Tuesdays and then Mrs Rubens on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. We are also very lucky to have the help of our wonderful Teaching Assistants Mrs Ralph and Miss Maughan.
This term we will be finding out about the incredible true story of seven Newlyn fishermen who sailed all the way to Australia in 1854 in a small lugger called the Mystery. We will explore why the Cornish men travelled thousands of miles for a better life, comparing life in Australia with their experience in the UK. As part of this we will visit Newlyn harbour, imagining how it must have felt for both the families and crew members when they set off on their adventure.
