We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our school community as a Teaching Assistant and Breakfast Club Leader.
The Breakfast Club Leader - 7:45am – 8:30am
This role is essential in providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for our children before the school day begins.
As the Breakfast Club Leader, your responsibilities will include preparing nutritious food and providing a range of stimulating activities for the children. You will play a crucial role in helping them get ready for their school day while upholding the ethos and culture of our school. Professional conduct is expected at all times, ensuring that children feel secure and valued.
While a Food Hygiene certificate is desirable, it is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about fostering a supportive and enriching environment for children.
The Teaching Assistant 8:30am – 1:15pm
Are you passionate about supporting children to thrive and grow? St Mary’s C of E School is looking for a caring and motivated Teaching Assistant to support children in our key-stage 2 class.
We are federated with Madron Daniel C of E Primary School, working closely together as one extended family serving the pupils across both schools. This role is particularly well suited to someone with experience in mixed-age settings and small-group learning support, who is eager to make a meaningful difference in a close-knit school community.
About the Role
* Support the learning and development of individual pupils and small groups
* Help create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
* Assist with preparing resources, organising activities and maintaining classroom displays
* Monitor pupil progress and wellbeing, providing feedback to teaching staff and the SENCO
* Support pupils during breaks, lunchtimes and educational visits
* Occasionally supervise whole classes to keep pupils safe and on task.
We're Looking for Someone Who...
*Has experience working with children in a school or similar setting
* Holds or is working towards an NVQ level 2 or equivalent
* Patient, friendly, enthusiastic and committed to supporting children
* Can work well as part of a team
