Friends of St Mary’s School (FOSMS) is our school’s Parent, Teacher and Friends Association, and it plays a vital role in supporting our pupils and enriching their school experience. All parents and carers are automatically members, and we are incredibly grateful for every contribution – big or small.
We understand that families have different amounts of time and energy to give. Some parents are able to take on key roles or help regularly with planning and organising events. Others support in different but equally valuable ways, such as helping out at events, donating prizes, making financial contributions, or signposting us to local businesses and contacts. Every contribution matters, and every bit of support is truly valued.
Throughout the year, FOSMS aims to organise one main fundraising event each term, alongside smaller activities where possible. These events not only raise much-needed funds for the school, but also bring our community together and create fun, lasting memories for the children.
Our Current Focus: Redesigning the School Library
At the moment, FOSMS is raising money to help redesign and refresh the school library. Our vision is to create an inviting, inspiring space that encourages a love of reading and learning for all children. Funds raised will support new furniture, resources, and improvements that will benefit pupils for years to come.
Get Involved – Your Way
There are lots of ways to be part of FOSMS:
- Come along to a meeting when you can
- Help out at an event, even for a short time
- Donate money, resources, or prizes
- Share ideas or contacts that could support fundraising
- Simply support our events and spread the word
Whether you can give time, ideas or donations, or even just attend an event, your support makes a real difference.
We would love to see as many parents and carers as possible getting involved, in whatever way works for you. Together, we can continue to support St Mary’s School and create wonderful opportunities for our children.
If you’d like to get involved, attend a meeting, or make a donation, please keep an eye on school communications or speak to a member of the FOSMS team.
Thank you for being part of our school community and for your continued support.
